MY STORY

Born and raised in the tight-knit town of Brussels, Ontario, Adam Cousins knows a thing or two about small town living and country music dreaming. Years of love for music and performing drove Adam to pursue his passion in the music industry. Today, he’s an exciting new Canadian country talent, whose emergence in the industry reflects his earnest “work hard, play hard” approach to life and music.
Drawn to the timeless storytelling and classic sound of the country genre, Adam took his first steps in music by playing local shows around Brussels before expanding his horizons in London, Ontario. The result was Adam’s debut 2019 EP, “Dirt Road”, produced at EMAC Recording Studios by Matt Grady and Nick Fetchison, which brought his original music to digital streaming platforms for the first time and introduced him to Canadian country radio.
Outside of the studio, Adam has been performing anywhere he can get his hands on a microphone – giving fans a front-row seat at festivals, fairs, and jams and winning them over through a seamless mix of classics and original songs and seeing his ability to take simple small-town moments and make them feel larger than life.
In 2021, Adam connected with noted producer Shawn Moore to create a listening experience that could feel equal parts familiar and fresh. singles, “Riding the Waves”, and “Young Again” – the latter of which became his first release to be added for spins on CBC Country on Sirius XM.
With 2022 off to a great start - Adam has won Forest City London Music Awards for "Country Artist of the Year" and "Music Video of the Year" for his single "Young Again". He also has been making waves with his new single "Our Lives" which cracked the Top 40 on CBC Sirius XM. Not far behind, Cousins will be releasing 2 brand new singles this year with more great music to come!
This small-town country boy continues to make good on his promise to make his lifelong country music dreams come true.
